| So I've been reading today about someone who is considered to be the modern father of neurosurgery. Wilder Penfield. He would perform tests on epileptic patients, sending electrical currents to certain parts in the motor cortex of the brain. He was able to make them talk, turn their head and eyes, move an arm or leg, and even swallow. In one experiment he would trigger one of the patient's hands to move, but would tell them not to move it. As a result, the patient would end up using his other hand to stop the hand that was under the control of the electrical current. This brought Penfield to concluded that the patient had not only a "physical brain that was stimulated by action, but also a non-physical reality that interacted with the brain."
If this is true, those who believe we are purely made up of nothing more than just atoms now have a problem.
We have a spirit dwelling in our body that allows us to intropect and possess that "I-exist" feeling.
If this perks your interest you can read more in the book "The Case for a Creator" by Lee Strobel. | | |
| I kinda forgot about my Xanga account. But Ive been playing around with an app called Pixelpipe, that allows you to upload any kind of blogs and media to any or all of your social networks. I'm typing this from my phone to see if this works. If so, maybe I'll blog more on here. Maybe. It really can get exhausting updating all your social networks, when really everyone is still on facebook and myspace....admit it.. you know you still check your myspace. (especially if you are reading this... cause your still checking your xanga!!) Ill never get rid of my xanga, this is where I met Inna. If you search hard enough you can read our first interactions. Kinda cool.

| i can't get "boston" (by Augustana) out of my head!
I'm sooo looking forward to spring and summer. today was one of the nicest days this year so far in nashville.
Inna and I started leading worship for this outreach church on saturdays. they outreach to the homeless and drug addicted.
wierd little things about me:
-any kind of smacking noise made with your mouth really annoys me...even my own chewing sound....wierd i know.
-i can't hold a conversation with someone and listen to music at the same time.....i get too distracted and start picking the track apart in my head.
-sometimes i get wierd urges to wanna take my teeth and scrap them up against the pages of a book i'm reading, or take the front of my teeth and put them up close to a freezing cold pole, or wonder what it would be like if i take a pencil i'm holding in my hand and stick it in my eye ( i never follow through with these thoughts...just think about them)
-sometimes i open my mouth up really wide to pop my jaw.
-sometimes i get so deep in thought i tune out when people are talking to me....inna hates that...so i stopped that with her...=)
-i could probably stay in my studio for days and never stopped making music
-i use to think the incredible hulk could really jump out of the TV and get me when i was younger...i would hide when the show came on
-sometimes i wish my voice was lower....especially when i call the credit card company and they call me "ma'am".
-i love dark chocolate!
-i get urges to stand around in a circle with others and harmonize wierd chord or any chord for that matter....but it's hard to find people who really wanna do it with me....and when they do participate...they dont sing as long as i want....plus one reunion? just kidding.
-still fight the urge to move to california or anywhere but nashville
well...that's just off the top of my head
thanks for listening....goodnight!

I got Inna a new cell phone and right before she opened it , i called it and made it ring.....it was fun =) she got me a leather "man" purse. which i really needed. (thanks babe)
anyway...once we arrived here in spokane, our bags got in 2 days later! so we were without fresh clothes. we ended up going to Walmart to buy some because it was the only thing open late at night.
i found out about this cool site, "xr6.org". The other day on Oprah, the guy who started "howstuffworks.com" was telling everyone how an email actually works. One of the things he said was that even after you delete an email on your computer, it never is really deleted. it stays on the server it went through for many years. anyway...that got me thinking that really personal info or private emails arent really private.
so this xr6.org website allows you to send emails that are encrypted. when the person on the other end gets the email, it will be all "jumbled up" until that person enters in a secret password, which is given to him/her from the person sending it.
anyway...i know it's kinda computer nerdy...but it's cool and fun....check it out. if you want, you can send me a message. my user name is "nathandub". although you will have to somehow tell me what the password is to unlock your message....i let you figure that one out on your own. =)
